Thinning out the grasses on the wildlife friendly banking area

An enjoyable hour or two spent thinning out the various grasses on the wildlife friendly banking area between two of the mini beast hotels using hand tools and taking care to minimise any disturbance to the reptiles who inhabit this area. Thinning out grasses will allow more room and more light for the yellow rattle which will help to keep them control.
